Our commitment

The Merry List wants everyone in our community to be able to use this website to learn about our services, place orders and reach us. We work to make the site usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom and other assistive tools.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is an ongoing effort, and we cannot promise that every page meets every requirement at all times.

What we have done

  • Text and buttons use colors with enough contrast against their backgrounds.
  • The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and required fields are marked. Error and status messages are announced to screen readers.
  • Pages use headings in a logical order and are marked with the page language.
  • The layout adapts to phones and tablets and works when text is enlarged.
  • Motion is kept minimal, and animations are turned off for visitors who ask their device to reduce motion.
  • We checked all pages with an automated accessibility scanner (axe) in October 2026 and fixed what it found.

Known limitations

  • Automated scanners find only part of what can go wrong. We have not yet had the site reviewed by an independent accessibility auditor or tested it with a full range of screen readers.
  • Payment happens on a secure page provided by Stripe. We do not control that page, though Stripe works to make its checkout accessible.
  • Photos are being added over time. When we add them, each will include a text description.
